Bruh - it's Tuesday

 Today we will discuss your homework, and then finish reading the packet we started yesterday.  HW: Read 1.5 answer and post the essential question. Also choose 1 SAQ from either 1.4 or 1.5 to do.  GOOD LUCK!

 Today we will review what you read this past weekend. We will also discuss how to write a SAQ and we will look at the packets I handed out on Friday. HW: Emailed packet (there are linked videos).  For Wednesday you should also do one of the SAQs on page 41.

Friday

 Today, we are going to read from a packet that I have printed out, and take notes from a PowerPoint. We will also finish the 1st part of the movie about Islam.  The handouts will cover topics 1.2 and 1.3 HW (for Monday): Read 1.4 in Textbook, finish AP videos and note guide, and do the assigned MC questions (on AP Classroom).  Today we need to go over your reading from last night. Give you time to answer the questions below: TERMS: Raiput Kingdoms, Dehi Sultanate, Khmer Empire, Bhakti Movement, Urdu  and the MC questions on page 30  We are also going to take some notes and continue the video from yesterday. HW: AP Videos for 1.3 (Note the notes will be do on Monday).

Wednesday - Buddha!

 Today we are going to read some pages in a handout (this covers 1.2 as well) and watch the first part of a documentary on Islam. Please turn in your note guides? Did the videos help?  HW: Read 1.3 and answer the chapter question.

 Today we are going to discuss your reading. On page 19 - you will need descriptions for the following terms: Mamluk Sultanate, Selijuk Turks, sultan, Mongols, Abbasis Caliphate, Muhammad, House of Wisdom. On page 21 - do both questions. Use your book if necessary.  HW: AP videos on 1.2 - these are assigned Islam Empire of Faith part 1

Monday

 Topic 1.1 Please turn in your "Note Guides" on AP Classroom videos. Also make sure everything is posted on your blogs and that I have your blog address. We will discuss your reading on 1.1, and do a few questions. We will also look at documents from the Song Dynasty and Chinese philosophies. HW: Read 1.2 pages 15-20 and pages 21-38 of the packet that I handed out on Thursday.

Friday

 Today we are going to start with a Ted-Ed video on "The Silk Roads", then I will give you 15-20 minutes to work on your assignment from yesterday and finally we will look at Unit 1 topic 1.  "Developments in East Asia from 1200 - 1450" (What is East Asia)? Remember homework for Monday - AP Videos (assigned yesterday and the reading packet that I will be handing out today).

Pre-1200

 Today we are going to discuss what you read last night, and then in groups (via google docs) I want you to do the following: Define the following Key Terms Religion: Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Confucius, Daoism, Islam, Shinto Economy: Silk Roads, Indian Ocean trade, and trans-Saharan trade Governments: Sui Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Ghana Questions: 1) In what ways are Judaism, Islam, and Christianity alike? 2) Explain how trade networks caused Islam and Buddhism to spread? 3) Identify one new historical development after 600 C.E.  Also its good to go over the following link: https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-four-regions-of-asia.html    Homework: Watch AP videos for Unit 1 topic 1.1 (there are three of them) and answer the worksheet that I will hand  out.

  AP World History -- Modern   AP World History: Modern is an introductory college-level modern history course.
